Plug-in problems

Recommended Posts

I have a fresh install with the 1.2 patch and when trying to load a plug-in, I see in the description box....Morrowind.esm is required for this file to be loaded, and it has been changed more recently than this file. You might experience problems with the game. This occurs with many plug-ins, help? :(

For future posters (and not to nag on you, Bastage), please, read other topics before posting, as there usually is one that has already addressed your problem...

Anyway, for your question, just hit "yes" and you should be fine. These messeges are just precautions that the program makes so that it tells you that there may be an error now that the file has been altered. The key word is "may." 99% of the time you will have no problems running the game (unless the plugin is faulty, but that's a whole different story). If you get errors while loading cells, then there can be a problem, but this is usually due to improper placement of files in the Morrowind\Data Files directory, and can be fixed as long as you know what to do. Or, if that does not work, then the plgin may have changed the image files for certain items (purposely or by mistake), and thus creating an error.

Just dont pay attention to them, and you'll be all right.

Also, if you want to stop the messages, just open the plugins one by one that give you that error in the TESCS and hit save, it will update them so the messages will no longer appear ;)
