Halororor
At the moment I would say the geforce 8800GT, but you'd best check out their website, they have started launching cards for the geforce 9 series, correct me if I'm wrong. Although you might have to save up a bit for that one. P.S. These type of posts belong in the Sysytem Advisor section of the forum.

If it is a white slot, it is mostlikely PCI, which in turn would be a NVIDIA, or similar type of video card. If it is a brown slot, it is an AGP type bus port. Which would constitute the need for an ATI or similar type video card. I tell you this because if you buy the wrong type you cannot return it. So with explaining that, SGTBOB, can you honestly say that you KNOW your ATI is better than the Nvidia 8800gt? Ill do the 10,000 melons on my Nvidia 7600gt. And ill see if it crashes. SGTBOB
If it is a white slot, it is mostlikely PCI, which in turn would be a NVIDIA, or similar type of video card. If it is a brown slot, it is an AGP type bus port. Which would constitute the need for an ATI or similar type video card.thats a little overgeneralization both carriers sport cards for the three main different bus types so just because you have said bus type doesnt mean "buy from them" PCI=most universal but slowestAGP=not many support but is a bit faster than PCIPCI Express=the most universaly accepted interface for modern Graphics cardsalso its varient PCI Express 2.0=similar to the difference between standard USB and USB 2.0 this bus is nearly double the bandwith of its predicessor PCI Express 1.0 The Graphics card i suggested does best on PCI express 2.0 but can also function on 1.0 I tell you this because if you buy the wrong type you cannot return it.this isnt true for Newegg.com and Frys electronicsNewegg gives you a 7 day period to return no matter the reason after that you may have to negotiate or get turned downfrys its dependant on the product but you still have a trial periodnote that neither of these stores accept broken returns if youve overclocked and it fried it (they can still retrieve its registry) So with explaining that, SGTBOB, can you honestly say that you KNOW your ATI is better than the Nvidia 8800gt?from personnel experience, Yes i had bought a HD 3870 and borrowed my freinds 8800GT (we did the test on my rig because i only had xp pro my freind had tons of programs on his)and both where tested on crysis because it has the most compatibility and is the greatest strain on a computer and heres the max and lowest FPS for both cards (done on all High settings) 8800gt HD 3870highest 54 63lowest 23 28Average31 42 Note that the average was not calculated with the very highest and very lowest FPS (the outliers) Ill do the 10,000 melons on my Nvidia 7600gt.love to see it just as a tip make sure to make a backup because if it crashes it can sometimes lose data and then you would have to reinstall the gameoh and plz post screenys (when i did my superdupe i just hit the "ultra high" settings button and took the resolution to 1680 x 1050 in case your wondering what settings i used when i did it)-SGTBOB
Tamujiin
Well good that you know your stuff SGTBOB, But anyway the kid still needs to know what type of bus port he uses or he could be sorely disappointed. And also if you have 2gb or less ram another 512 or higher ramstick wouldnt hurt if you got the room and what not. As far as the melons. maybe tommorrow as i didnt realize i have to drop one at a time. ( which i commend your patience for that too young man.) GenghisKhanIT
I would suggest using a free (trial) utility like Sisoft Sandra, that will run a complete system check and extract a report where you can find graphic slot information. Or, if you have the original box (the carton, I mean) of your motherboard, it will be written well colored on the front !
SGTBOB
As far as the melons. maybe tommorrow as i didnt realize i have to drop one at a time. ( which i commend your patience for that too young man.)well you dont have to do them one at a time (IE one melon two melon three . . .ect) what you do is press the `~ button to the left of your 1! key and type in the following Player.additem 00017829 "10000" then press enter this will spawn 10k arrows into your inventoryand i suppose because your guy probably cant hold all those arrows at once (they get heavy) type in TGM then in case you dont want to go look all over town for a melon just type in player.additem 000336A0 "1" (note that there are no o's in that code just zeros)this will add one melon to inventoryalso be sure that you only drop one melon when you do the dupe or else youll have 5000 melons that are each worth two melons and as for patience i have it but i didnt use it in this scenario i just started the dupe and left it sitting while i ate lunch (and i had fraps running to make sure i didnt miss anything) tell me how it goes,-SGTBOB
