Hey guys! I am new to nexus modding, just installed Manufacturing Expanded for... well reasons, its really practical. I also discovered the vast ammount of mods and additional contents.

Can you guys recommend a bunch of mods whose get along well?

Here is what i am interested in: More unique armor,weapons which are still realistic, some practical changes, like ballistic weave updates etc,additional missions, areas, collectibles, and fpr the last same texture update, maybe some more optimalized , im playing ultra on fullhd with my r3908gb, also im running into something recently after alt tabbing few times , colors go nuts basically (windowed mode)

 

few mods i would try if you guys do not recommend anything better is: Maxwells mod, Better settler, Vault 1080,Everyone s best friend

One of the fun things about modding is the exploring of mods, so you should do that.

 

I will give you some hints.

 

1. In the troubleshoot section there is something called "beginners guide", read it and use it, and the programs it recommends. It will lean you the basics of Loot>wrye bash>Foedit. It will save you from a lot of trouble.( you can still use the nmm to move files around if you wish to do so)

 

2. Don't download willynilly, take a direction, find out the big pig picture of your next playthrough and plan your mods accordingly.( You can run hundreds of mods without crashes and conflict if you take care and are methodical, about 5 if you are not)

 

3. Read ALL descriptions twice and trice before installing a mod. Make sure you have ALL the files needed and always go over the patch section twice.

 

4. For workshop items you should always chose quality over quantity.

 

5. Test your game before committing. Install one mod and test it> install yet another mod and test it against the first mod> Install a few more and test them alone and against the first ones> and so on.( Some mods can be added mid play, but you should never, under any circumstances, remove mods mid play, unless you plan to start over or use some kind of editor for your scripts and savegames, and then it gets complicated real fast.

 

You are doing this at a bad time, there was an update the other day that threw some stuff up in the air, and we are still waiting for some of it to come down, so not much help i'm afraid. It is hard to recommend anything if you don't know if it will work next week.
