aragaun
Lately I have run into a situation where I am playing and I drop out to the steam screen. Then it says that steam is synchronizing. I can go back into the game and it will run great for a while and then drop again. Each time it synchronizes again. It is random, sometimes it happens a lot and then not for a long while. I found a setting where I can turn it off but don't know what it really does. Any advice or suggestions?
littlekites
As far as I know, what it does is make it so that you can use your saves from other computers. I had to turn mine off because I have slow internet and it was taking hours for it to sync (I have nearly 300 saves, I guess it was trying to upload them all to the cloud server?) It rendered my internet completely useless while it was syncing. I will not be playing my saves from a different computer, so saw no reason to keep it on. If I'm wrong on how it works, someone please correct me.
Givemods
I personally turned it off because I've added so many mods I sometimes need to debug which is causing problems, which means a lot of opening and closing skyrim. With slow upload and many saves I'd be stuck waiting for saves to upload before I could relaunch skyrim. All it does is upload your saves to the steam cloud so if you sign in on a friends computer, you can play your saves, personally has no benefit for me anyway. Staind716
I turned mine off as soon as they enabled it. Nothing more than another irritation from Steam as far as I'm concerned.
