I downloaded this mod on steam workshop that allowed me to wield lanterns. After i tried it i decided i didn't like it so i tried to remove it from my data folder and unsubscribed it on steam workshop. problem is that now my torch animation is gone. The stance where the character/npc is standing holding a torch in front of him is no longer there. it just looks like I'm standing normally, but when i equip a torch, the torch stays in my hand but I'm not holding it in front of me. its the same if i make an npc hold a torch as well.

I tried reinstalling the lantern wielding mod, but now the lanterns aren't holding correctly as well. i think i lost the torch stance. i don't know how to get it back.

Maybe he's just too lazy to hold his hand up :P. Did you try to extract animations from the BSA archive and place them in the data folder? Edited by Werne

A BSA archive i something similar to a zip/7z/rar archive, it's located in your data folder. You can open it up with FOMM and extract stuff from it. I believe actor animations are in Skyrim - Meshes.bsa under meshes/actors/character.

 

By the way, when you un-subscribe a mod in Steam Workshop, it doesn't un-install it, you need to remove it yourself manually (as far as I understand, since I don't use the workshop).

The weird thing is I didn't even modify any animations in my wieldable lantern mod. I have never experienced this issue and I installed / uninstalled the mod many times while I was making it. Almost seems like some other mod might be a cause or something very strange occured :U.

I have the same problem after playing around with some mods for torches, although I have'nt downloaded any lantern-mods. And since I dont know how to mess around with a bsa-extractor without a guide, I'm kinda stuck =(

 

I realy hope that someone thats leveled up from my current noob-level can help out =)

I have the exact same problem, they hold it properly when you sheath whatever weapon you have equipped and it looks fine in first person, except i was playing around with other torch mods. i think the mods screwed up the animation scripts but i don't know where or how it screwed it up.
