Why ENB?

i'm coming here with a simple question: Why should i use ENB?

let me explain a little:

i'm playing skyrim for quite a while now (since it was released!), but i never used a ENB. i simply don't care about grafic that much.

but a few days ago i read somewhere (i think it was in a different forum) that ENB not only gives you better grafic (which i don't care),

but also grants a bettter perforemence(which i definitly care). so, is this true?

i hope someone could give me an awnser.

you simply use ENB to :

improve your graphics

or

overhaul ur skyrim to something more immersive

or

overhaul ur skyrim to something super non immersive and turn it to a different game.

ENBs don't improve performance but they are the best choice for anyone who has been playing skyrim for so long that it's now time for some change.

I admit I haven't played in a very long time, but is ENBoost (i.e. 'ENB without the visual improvements') no longer a thing? Increasing available RAM is what I'd consider to be something that 'improves performance', simply by lengthening the time between crashes and reducing stuttering.

Before you get too confused you must know every ENB "consists" of two things:

1. the actual visual improvements

2. the memory hack called "ENBoost"

#1 will hurt your performance. Your fps always will go down.

#2 will significantly improves the stability of the game regarding crashes and freezes. So this improves your performance but you won't get higher fps with this.

Every ENB has the possibility to switch the visual improvements off so you can just benefit from ENBoost.

So if you don't care about graphics I would still recommend heavily to use ENBoost.

i have a smal extra question: when i deactivate all effects, i should get a better performance right?

i ask, because my grafic card is a bit old (i'm using a gforce gtx 480) and because of that my fps drops with realvision enb down to 20-30 fps. thats a bit low for my taste.
