Adding Brotherhood of Steel NPCs

I'll preface this by saying that I'm a novice when it comes to using the Creation Kit.

I'm working on a mod that place a few more NPCs at locations around the Commonwealth. Trouble is that I've arrived at East Boston and Boston Airport. I need a few BoS-spawns and small scouting parties around the airport.

Problem is I can't figure out how to make sure the NPCs don't spawn until the Prydwen has arrived.

Any tips of where to look or what to look at would be much appreciated.

The easiest is to probably set your npc's to have an enable parent. Which reference you use for the parent is really up to you. There's a lot that revolve around the prydwen at different stages. There's one for the prydwen dirigible proper in cell BostonAirportExt (12, -1) xmarker named BoSPrydwen formid 00184fd9. When that gets enabled the dirigible pops into view. To easily set that for multiple npcs, first select them in the render window (hold control when clicking to select multiple). Then with the render window in focus press the minus key (-) to enter batch mode. Choose the radio button that says set enable parent. Then in the bottom left you have the choice to select ref in the render window or manually pick it from the dropdowns. If you type in BoSPrydwen in the filter, then in cell pick any, then in reference it should be the top of the list. Alternatively you can choose the cell specifically BostonAirportExt (12, -1) and then pick the reference. Once you've set the reference click "Do". Now your npcs will only be enabled when that xmarker is enabled.
