  1. 1. What race are you in TES V: Skyrim?

Bosmer and Nord, bros.

so bros before... and Nords before...hordes? hmm

I went Imperial with my (so far) only character. Not sure why. Nord seemed too obvious, I guess. Either that I or was subconsciously wanting to be a couple inches shorter than Lydia. Luckily she's never said anything about it.

I play as a Nord female solely because I think they look the best. That was when I was playing on the PS3, however, where I couldn't use mods to make the other races look better.

I'll most likely still play as a Nord, but I'll see for sure once my graphics card gets here.

Race is class-dependent.

My first character was a Dunmer spellsword (didn't know Skyrim is NOT Oblivion). Buried that one.

Second was Nord warrior. Nords are good for warriors plus frost resistance is much more useful here than it was in Vvardenfell/Cyrodil/Oblivion planes. There Dunmeri were the best race, but Skyrim is for the Nords!

Third (and current) is Altmer mage. I wanted to play a mage, so I've chosen the best race for it.

I don't vote for any race - each one has its advantages (and no more disadvantages at last, thanks to Bethesda). I've played ALL races in Oblivion, Morrowind and Daggerfall (and only Dunmer in Arena, pity), and I intend to do the same here. TES FOREVER!

Khajiit: I loved the Bosmer in Oblivion, but Beth made elves so dammed ugly in Skyrim that I can't bear to play one in this game. I can't say they did a whole lot better for Khajiit -- they were so much "cuter" in Oblivion, but they look downright lethal in Skyrim, so I can overlook the "blocky" features. I like to play stealth-based characters, and it's nice to have a character who can brawl, unarmed, with people who have swords until later in the game. Khajiit get a stealth bonus and their claws do 15 points of damage. You'll wait for quite a bit in the game until you find a weapon that good. This gives a Khajiit a decided advantage over opponents very early in the game, including fighting your way out of Helgen. A couple of claw attacks (especially sneak attacks) and Imperial soldiers "faw down ... go boom!" (to quote a favorite childhood cartoon character).
