Dwarven Power Armor! (Flesh out idea)

There is Dwarven Armor in Skyrim, but it is rather underwhelming in comparison to the technology the Dwemer possessed. This is my attempt at providing an outline for a set of dwarven power armor, including its stats, requirements, and effects/quirks. Ideas are welcome as long as they are constructive.

Item Statistics

(Both items can be upgraded normally using Dwarven metal ingots. The effects for upgrading the armor are significantly increased to match the upgrades spread across the armor, boots, and gauntlets slots. However upgrading the power armor required 3 ingots for each upgrade)

Dwarven Heavy Power Armor - This is the entire set minus the helmet. This is due to the power armor being worn as a suit rather than as separate pieces making a set. It provides defense superior to the Daedric armor, gauntlets, and boots combined. This is countered by it's immense weight.

Rating: 100

Value: 6000

Weight: 80

Smithing items: 20 Dwarven metal ingots, 1 Centurion Dynamo Core

Additional effects: The Dwarven Heavy Power Armor increases melee attack damage by 10% and reduces stagger by 50%. However the wearer is unable to sprint. (Increases melee attack damage by 20% and allows wearer to sprint at 50% speed)

Dwarven Heavy Power Helmet - This is separate from the armor, and so is optional to wear. However it cannot be worn unless the player is wearing the Dwarven Heavy Power Armor

Rating: 30

Value: 1800

Weight: 20

Smithing items: 5 Dwarven metal ingots

Additional effects: The Dwarven Heavy Power Helmet increases attempts at Intimidation by 10%

Dwarven Recon Power Armor - This armor benefits from light armor perks, despite it's weight being 70 total. This is due to it's properties, which reduces stamina consumption and increases speed.

Rating: 80

Value: 6000

Weight: 60

Smithing items: 20 Dwarven metal ingots, 1 Centurion Dynamo Core

Additional effects: The Dwarven Recon Power Armor reduces the stamina drained whilst sprinting by 50% and attacking by 25%, and reduces staggering by 25%. Increases overall speed by 10%. (Sprinting never drains stamina, and attacking only requires half. Overall speed is increased by 20%)

Dwarven Recon Power Helmet - Like the Heavy variant Power Helmet, this is optional to wear, however it can only be worn with the Dwarven Recon Power Armor

Rating: 20

Value: 1800

Weight: 10

Smithing items: 5 Dwarven metal ingots

Additional effects: The Dwarven Recon Power Helmet increases attempts at Intimidation by 10%

How to Acquire

The plans for both variants of the Dwarven power armor and helmet would be purchased from a unique NPC for 5000 gold. Before being able to actually wear either variant of the power armor, players must seek out the "Power Armor Training Manual" which would spawn randomly in select Dwarven ruins. At least 4 will spawn, and would be located at the end of the ruins. Once the book is read, an active effect dubbed "Dwarven Power Armor Training" will be placed on the player, allowing him/her to wear both variants of the power armor.

Oil!

After crafting the armor and helmet, the same NPC will sell dwarven oil, which alongside the oil found in ruins, will now be valuable to a power armor wearer. When the armor is worn, an active effect dubbed "Oil Consumption" will be applied. Each in-game week (1) dwarven oil is consumed, and for one in-game week the "Well Oiled" active effect will be applied. Well Oiled bonuses are bracketed after the normal "Additional Effects" listings.

A most awesome idea, one I'd love to see made. Maybe different models can be created. The above forth mentioned being 'generic.' Include maybe scout armors(Armor does the running for the user-reduces the stanima cost for running) and heavy(increase strength- one/two handed do more damage).

I could add a "Recon" variant for the light armor and slap "Heavy" on the armor currently written, as it does what you mentioned, melee damage output.

The Recon variant would reduce stamina need for sprinting by 50% and melee attacking by 25%. When the "Well Oiled" effect is in place, sprinting is free and melee attacks cost only half the stamina. It would be superior to Dragonscale armor in rating, but inferior to the Heavy variant being light armor. The helmet will still have the 10% intimidation bonus(Which was inspired by Fallout's T51b power armor's Charisma bonus).

that looks like a neat idea id suggest a slight name change 'steam' in place of 'power' to me at least would make it feel a little more like it belongs :) and perhaps 'recon' to 'scout' just a flavor suggestion
