Adipose
Having trouble persuading AFT to run. Seems to be a mod conflict. Does anyone have a clue as to which mods or which situations AFT really doesn't like?
popvirus2
new download? rebooted lately? I've got a little over 230 plugins workin' and have AFT, ignore damage, and follower boost (in that order) after all npcs/followers and before any other mods...everything is working like a champ....or was...starting a new game with new LL/follower/new SMIM installs. I have used this placement for 8 months now and it runs like a charm. Now watch as I say this and my new game mess up somehow... For me, trying to figure out why the game doesn't work like I think it should (ctds, black face, etc) is more fun than playing... You probably know more than I do, but just tryin' to help.. rambling........ pops
Moksha8088
Make sure you don't try to control companions with an advanced AI system with AFT, such and Inigo and Vilja.
Adipose
Got it running now. Had some weird stuff going on in character creation as well...like two Orc lines, one clothed and one not, with a few new in one. Also had an oriental follower slot that hadn't filled. Did triage on plugins and finally ran down the culprits on the cc. It was two bugged npc mods. As far as the AFT glitch goes I'm not totally sure, but I cut back to only five followers total...active and not, and that seemed to do the job. I also cut out RS kids and a couple of other over engineered mods. Don't know where the culprit was but I got AFT up and running now. It's really a pain going through all the plugins in order to find the glitch, but it usually works. I only blew a whole day out of an increasingly short allotment. When ya get to be past seventy ya never know how many ya got left, so I like to be careful how I use'em. Thing is, computer games are a lot cheaper than going to the rifle range or huntin' and fishin. Only thin cheaper is television and that's a real waste of time. I prefer to be an active participant in whatever I"m doing. Oh, for what it's worth, I've got a totally new glitch. The standing stones near Riverwood are gone. The base is there, and the AI says they're there, but they're not present visually and not available for interaction. That's a new glitch and I'd thought I'd seen most of'em. So, back to the old trial and elimination game. Man, it's been a long day at the comp.
