Jackpot824
Hi, My name's Jackpot7 I been a fan of skyrim/Fallout mods for a year now, and now faster some of learning and reading. I've been doing a unarmed Killmoves set that I've wanted to include into Skyrim - Basic (None Special Edition). I put a lot of work into these animations and so far, they look quite badass for all the hardcore unarmed players out there. However this is my first couple of months with blender (still learning but alright at it) and since this is my first mod, I wouldn't know how to get started on putting this up on nexus mods. I understand this is easier said than done and won't get done in the span of a day or a week or even a month, or maybe I did something wrong with these basic animations to not even let them be possible to go on the nexus mods because I'm way over my head. Some help would be appreciated to at least understand how to put this on there. I understand there are tutorials but everything seem's a little outdated and kinda hard for a dumbass like me to pick up right of the back and I've always been a hands on learner. If you can contact here or even on my own discord that I own with 200 people on it, staff included but nonetheless it would be appreciated. Thanks. https://discord.gg/aDmNkZF Edited September 5, 2017 by Jackpot824
fore
It's not quite clear what you really need help for. Making a Nexus mod that consists of a few files only is matter of less than 20 minutes, assuming you have the description ready. Just upload a zip file that contains all the files that you have added and modified on your own PC. In a directory structure that mirrors the Skyrim data tree. You have killmoves ready, but you need Blender info? Because you have a killmove animation in Blender, but you don't know how get it into the game? There are two tutorials here on Nexus for paired animations/killmoves. But they are for 3ds only. Just search for "Paired Animation" in the Nexus "Browse file" search. But the way you ask makes me believe that you do not talk about (paired) killmoves, rather some single actor hand-to-hand animations (killmoves in Skyrim always include animations 2 both characters in one file). I can give you information on how to add custom animations to the game. But first you should specify more clearly what you have, and whyt you have done so far to make it work in your OWN Skyrim. Jackpot824
Hello Fore, I read your message about the lack of information in my forum request. Sorry for my english is not the best. After looking at what I have to do with the animation, as I work with Blender trying to find information transfer it over (Mind you im trying to test a single basic animation before I work on the rest, thats if they even work) I understand from this guide that might be a little outdated. https://wiki.nexusmo...tions&oldid=884Trying to export the basic animation from there to NifSkope, Is that program is even the correct program, is confusing with description I need to have for these animations. I have all the animations paired with two characters, but I want to test out a very basic two character one first before I move forward with the rest. Im not the brightest guy in the world when it comes to modding and Im pretty sure Im still lacking information that you need to help me out. So if I could get a step in the right direction hopefully I can give you information you need to help me out more clearly. If you can't help me thank you either way. fore
This article probably confuses you because it is not related to Skyrim. It has a date that is 10 months prior to the release of Skyrim. Skyrim animations have been created by Bethesda using 3ds Max. And therefore most animators I know of have been using 3ds max, and therefore almost all documentation on Nexus is related to that program. So are the 2 tutorials about paired animations/killmoves. And I don't know if paired animations can even be made using Blender. The only one on Nexus I know who has done Blender groundwork is Anton0028, but he is mostly known for his work with object animations, like wings. I don't know if he did something for characters. This is a link to his tool set. Maybe that has some useful information as well. But I think if you need help with Blender Skyrim animations you are better off at Loverslab. Provided you don't mind the adult orientation of this site. But I know that there are several animators that have successfully used Blender. Just search a little bit over there.
