Cant Dismiss nor Recruit Vilkas

I have a problem that everytime I talk to Vilkas , he replied with follower options as if he is following me

But he doesn't follow me , and I cannot dismiss him

 

"It's time for us to part ways" only end the conversation , "Your follower leaves your service" does not show up

I tried "Dismiss" and "Dismiss but hangout here" from AFT but didnt work as well

 

I have AFT installed since the beginning of the save and never did uninstalled nor reset nor install a different scripted follower mod

 

This happens to Vilkas only

I accidently found a way around earlier when I made a test save and reset AFT , it didnt dismiss him right away but when I attack him , he got back to normal , but after that Ria's body just gets corrupted from reseting AFT ?

 

I found another way around the Ria problem by Reset AFT on Ria separately then Reset AFT altogether , but then the solution above didnt work

 

I have tried completely uninstall AFT in the correct procedure , even used Save Cleaner to delete left over scripts after

I also tried console commands disable/enable , kill/resurrect , resetai , recycleactor , set playerfollowercount to 0 , none of them works

 

small mention that I have Sofia and Inigo installed but I dont use AFT on them and I did dismiss them before trying anything

 

Here is my load order , I'm using Mod Organizer and run LOOT all the time

It might be something to do with the Companions quest-line. He's gonna have some scripts attached to him, it could be that they were broken by making AFT take over him. However, if you recruited him naturally, as he does become a potential follower at some point, then I'd expect it wouldn't be a problem with AFT. I have completed the questline with no problems , the last time I recruited Vilkas was along Farkas to go on random bandit hunt quite awhile after the questline , then I dismissed both of them

 

this problem came up one time I found Vilkas in the wild fighting trolls

he was acting like he wasnt a follower but the conversation still has follower options

I can tell you from experience that removing things like AFT mid-game never work. Try this:

In the console, click on Vilkas to select him.

Next type the following commands:

removefromfac 5c84d

removefromfac 5c84e

 

This should remove him from any follower factions and reset his dialogues.

Disable then Enable

Or even click on him then tipe Kill and then RecycleActor

I believe the correct command is removefac <fac id>

i did this and it reseted Vilkas' dialouge , but then he lost "Come with me I need your help"

but then I addfac him back , he was back to a follower and i can dismiss him normally this time
