abuman44
This is my load order after using LOOT. I have already cleaned the files that needed it with TES5edit and re added my mods on a fresh install of skyrim. I am also running SKSE. Now i ctd on the road to the alchemist shack. i was able to fast travel into the shack but if I go back towards Honeystone Cave it will crash. I went back to the area with a "clean save character" with mods newly installed, The only thing I noticed in the area was a Blood Dragon besides the 2 bears that keep spawning. I killed it with the clean save went back in with the other Modded game and it works. Im going to take a guess and say the blood dragon was causing the problem. My question is, Is this loadout safe for the most part and is there a fix for this type of CTD? Kapteyn
If it's no longer crashing there, forget about it. Skyrim can and will crash as and when it's tired, hungry or just feels like it has no friends. You mod list isn't very big, there is little to go wrong there. I'd be inclined to suppose that, rather than the dragon itself being the problem it might have been something on the ground trying to attack it, maybe even the bears - it always quirks me when I see my companions feverishly trying to get into sword range of a thing flying 500 feet over their heads, it's possible that the game has problems with this on occasion. So yeah, if it keeps happening then something's wrong - otherwise it's as you were, the steps to Hrothgar are just a few clicks around the corner.
