dpm52903
After my ssd broke and I had to move back to my mechanical drive, my Skyrim setup started having an issues with the fog. Pictures: https://i.imgur.com/H4LqJp2.jpg https://i.imgur.com/f1tXYdQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/joCoHDh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/cSi5fft.jpg I started the game with no mods, and it was fine. Then I changed the amount of mods from 300 ish to around 150, still no change. Re-enabled and deleted any smoke or fog related mods, still no change. I'm running snowfall enb on enb version .315, with two gtx 660s in SLI. My mod list is here: https://pastebin.com/PzcRZnip Edited September 9, 2017 by dpm52903
Kapteyn
You could by all means turn it off entirely... Remove Interior Fog V2 at Skyrim NexusRemove Exterior Fog at Skyrim Nexus But I gotta say, that picture of the main menu looks like a GPU problem. Two cards over SLI and a failed hard disk, I think you need to check your temperatures... TechPowerUp GPU-Z
dpm52903
GPU temps are low. Top is at 75, bottom is at 65 ish, and both are at 25% power. I have already tried the fog removal mods, and they didn't work for me.
Kapteyn
If it's 75 while the game is running, that's fine. If that's an idle desktop then I'd worry. It could be Vivid Weathers alone, it could also be conflicting with ELFX. Depending on the mod manager, even though you might disable the mod the texture files are possibly still being used. For a mod that size, with that many loose files, they should probably BSA the lot of it.
Kapteyn
Actually, you could try temporarily removing these files if they are present... Data Meshes Effects Radiant Fog_med.nif Fog_strong.nif Fog_thin.nif Textures Effects cloudtile.dds Distant_Fogs_Heavy.dds Distant_Fogs_Lite.dds Distant_Fogs_Rain.dds fxsteamthickanim.dds fxsteamthinanim.dds smokeparticles01.dds Radiant fogtexture.dds Maybe others as well. It's worth a shot, at least to see if this Vivid Weathers is causing a problem. Edited September 10, 2017 by Kapteyn
