firsTraveler
Skyrim needs a radio station, and not just a master music replacer. What's needed is: 3 Dog! Someone to brodcast the latest actions of the player, to give warning of dragon sighting, to advertise the latest store sales, ect...
Werne
Three Dog is one of the reasons I never bought New Vegas, the radio there is boring. But I don't know would it be possible to make a radio in Skyrim, I believe someting like Oblivion's Black Horse Courier would be nice, newspapers with the latest news, some gossip and such. I really miss The Black Horse Courier.
worldofscotty
Your signature clearly states that you play New Vegas. How did u manage that....
Werne
Nope, it only states I have mods uploaded on NV Nexus. I made the models, a friend of mine made an esp for M18 Claymore (since a user asked me to port it to NV). From my mod description:It's a port of my Fallout 3 Mod: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17007It's made by a friend of mine (I don't have NV). He tested it and said it's working. The pics are from FO3 cause I don't have NV, sorry. If anyone wants to upload new ones, feel free to do so. But nevermind all that, I'll take a shot at making a radio for Skyrim (yeah, it's not lore friendly, there were no radios in medieval time, blah blah). I'll see what I can do, though I'll probably have to edit a lot of vanilla conversation to make sentances.
firsTraveler
So make it lore friendly, How about crystal balls?
muttiniraq
Or make it a spell that has a 24 hour or more duration. The "radio" could simply be entertainment provided by the mages college to promote news and help alleviateboredom when research is carried off in a secluded manner. The only person hearing it will be those with the spelland perhaps adding an additional mage at the top of the Arch Mages tower on the roof to do the news. It can be lore friendly if desired, with a little imagination. As for music, add in some Nobuo Utematsu as well....

Skyrimnexus is about as stingy, when people upload music without the author's permission, as a hornet nest that got sat on.Don't expect it to happen anytime soon...With Nobuo's music, anyway. I actually support that kind of beaviour, uploading music without the author's permission is illegal and those who do it are banned. But there's plenty of music on the internet that fals under Public Domain and require no author verification (author died, etc.).
lemonfan1
How about using the default songs in Skyrim? Such as the songs the bards play at the inns. Or even make it so the user can place their own .mp3 files into a folder to be played? This way, we avoid uploading any songs, we get our magical radio, and thus everyone is happy. :) Also, as a suggestion, what if the 'radio' worked visually like candlelight? Not to give off any strong light mind you, but using the spell could make a floating orb of magic circling your head, playing whatever you'll have playing, and recasting the same spell would dispel it?
