question about arrows

hello eveyone!

I already posted something like this but now I know a lot more, so this new post:

I was wondering if the arrows you shoot and miss stay there for ever, or go away eventually.

So I went to riverwood and started shooting arrows at a wooden object, I noticed that after a few arrows the first ones dissapeared!

No problem I thought, but then I shot some at riverwood, went back to helgen, shot some more until they started to dissapear in helgen and then I

went back to riverwood, where all the arrows were still there. Then I went back to helgen, waited for way over 30 days there, and then went into a dungeon, waited for over 30 days there as well, and went back to riverwood, the damn arrows were still ALL there. I really need to know how to 'cleanse' skyrim of my arrows I shot all over the place.

can someone please help me?

thanks a lot in advance,

a fellow skyrim player

Arrows sometimes get cleaned up, sometimes don't, and it's not consistent in any way shape or form (though it seems that arrows shot in city worldspaces or player homes tend to never ever get cleaned up).

There's a limit of 15 arrows per cell (not world wide), so there will never be more than that stuck or laying around at any given time in that cell.

"Cell" is an internal game engine term, and defines an arbitrary region of the game. Exterior cells have a fixed length and width (192x192ft or 58.5x58.5m), whereas interior cells can vary in size from small homes to large dungeon "zones".

For reference, Robber's Gorge (a small bandit camp southwest of Morthal) is composed of 5 cells, plus an additional interior cell for Robber's Cove. I haven't spent enough time in Riverwood or Helgen in the CK to tell you how many cells each of those are composed of, but I'd wager it'd be in the neighborhood of 6-10 each, plus however many interior cells they have.
