  1. 1. Would you be ok with the weapon clipping?

    • Sure, it looks to good to say no.
    • No, you should not release if it clips.
    • I would use it, but I would not endorse or recomend it.

I am trying to remove the leg clipping, but the only way to do it seems to be to rig it to the feet which means its going to really look funky when you walk/run/standstill/fightstance but not clip. Somtimes its just not possible to fix everything, but I havent given up on that just yet still trying.

Sadly the Weapon Adjust does nothing it can only move out to 4.0 which is barely at all, and it seems to only work on the body slot.

If someone could post/pm how to edit the skeleton.nif with blender and get it to actually show up in game I would be very grateful, then at least I could offer it as a optional download.

I plan on haveing two mod versions, one will be craftable and in level lists (spread to npc) the other will be just craftable.

Its mostly the lower part of the feet that show up when you run, still weight painting by hand to try and see if I can fix that or not. If not I will try editing the mesh alittle more.

I don't mind clipping, though to be honest I've never used a mod that added cloaks (except for overhauls) so I don't know if you'd care about my opinion on that.

What about rigging the cloaks to rear skirt instead of the legs? It might look better, though I guess it probably wouldn't work too well if the cloaks are too long.

Nivea, I fixed it by not weighting it to the legs at all. Use the back skirt bones if your skeleton has them. I used the forsworn armor for all my skeletons, and it worked great.

I do have it rigged currently to the skirt bones, I suppose the slight foot clipping comes from the fact that my cloak is longer then most I have seen. Since I finally finished rigging the cloak to flow with the pauldrons better (so much by hand painting oi), now I can I try and fix up that small clipping and the rigging will be done gonna try the thalmor robes.

Of course my major issue still stands with the blasted twohanded weapons.

Anyone know any walkthroughs or anything for editing the skeleton.nifs as my last resort?

Edit: Thalmor robes suck, no go there... god that rigging is horrible. D:

Nivea, forget the skeleton stuff.... The weapon adjustment box WORKS! I applied a higher setting than was default, and the clipping with my armor is GONE! Vanished! Cast down to the fiery depths of hell, where they shall return to dust, forgotten and forsaken, for they are not worthy of remembrance!

(long rant here...)

Also, if you're still unsure about the clasps for your awesome cloaks... I have made some new ones, with high-res, picture based textures. They're based off of original viking brooches. And look sexy, in my opininion. If you want to use them (or preview them), give me a PM.

How odd because when I tried the weapon adjustment it didnt really do anything at all, I wonder why it would work for your stuff and not mine or vanilla armors.

What slots did the item you test on take up?

It was the torso (32). Have you tried setting them on a higher priority (another silly box I found in the same tab)? It also helps to reduce some clipping. Boots are 10 by default, so maybe with 15 they will stop some of their evil clipping Edited by Omesean
