worldofscotty
Just looking in the creation kit at some items in peoples houses but they have no ownership. I'm trying to understand why an item, say in someone's home belongs to them when it isn't owned by anyone or factioned. Lets say for example the thieves guild. If I am a member of the thieves guild then the item is allowed to be picked up without stealing but if I am not then it is stealing although the ownership remains the same. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance
flobalob
I think that the way it works is that any un-owned item in an owned cell asumes ownership from the cell, just like ojjects in a chest assume the ownership of the container they are in. worldofscotty
Problem I have is... I'm a part of the faction for the house that I am working on. I have full access to the chests which are linked to the faction. I can take any item from the chests stolen or not with no reaction but over time I found that the person I live with put a bounty on my head and thugs came to kill me. She even helped me fight them off as they were right outside the house. It seems that if I loot an item left in the world and put it in the chest its not stolen but if I loot a corpse and put that in the chest then it is considered stolen when I take it back. Seems specific to humanoids. Leathers and pelts etc aren't a problem. I can't set the chest to my property as it will effect those not in the faction being able to take stuff. Any advise available would be really appreciated on this. Thanks
