TimmyTheNerd
Yeah, despite popular belief, there are two races of Draenei. The Draenei you can play as in WoW, and the Broken Draenei that serve Illidan in WC3. Wrong. There are three Draenei species. Lesson time. http://images.wikia.com/wowwiki/images/3/3e/DraeneiDevolution.jpg From Left to Right:Draenei (Playable)Bronken (Slightly mutated Draenei)Lost Ones (Fully mutated Draenei) The Draenei that served Illidan were Broken, however they used the Lost One's models. Their appearance was later retconed to what we now know as the Broken in WoW: Burning Crusade, while their original appearance got the new name as the Lost Ones. While the Broken could still be saved, the Lost Ones cannot as their mutations run too deep. Also, the Draenei themselves were originally part of the same race as the Man'ari, the race was known as the Eredar. Velen (The racial leader of the Draenei), was once close friends with both Archimonde and Kil'jaeden, the three lead the Eredar as a council. However, the race became divided between the Man'ari and the Draenei when Archimond and Kil'jaeden agreed to follow Sargeras and join the Burning Legion, while Velen and a few others of his race sided with the Naaru and escaped, eventually coming to Draenor, which will later become known as Outland.
