Picking up weapon no longer gives ammo

i have noticed that when i wanted an actual deadly apocalyptic wasteland even with changed loot drops to reduce up to 60%-85% of everything you just happen to have so much ammo, making it so odd that there is so much ammo although there was about 200+ years of looting.
