across1x
I guess I'm a little confused on how to make an outside area for skyrim. I know how to add content to the existing world space of tamriel, how to make dungeons, how to connect them to the world space. What I want to do is make a new outside world space to travel to via boat or teleport of some fashion, but I don't know how to create a new "world"? Is there some outside skybox thing I need to create first or just start making the "outside" on a new data save and it just becomes the outside when I travel to it? Any clarification would be great. Thank you.
across1x
OK, so I made a new world space but every time I try to adjust the height of the ground using the CK it crashes when I try to save or when I try to update the landscape, what can I do? Do you use the landscape tool? Press H to use that. Also if your using the Heightmap tool it will crash.
across1x
Yeah I was trying to upload a grey scale height map raw file, I've moved on to just using the brush tool and manually creating a test esp. I've got a small island made but when I try to use the console to travel to it all I see is a light blue screen. no land masses or anything just a blue screen, I can't even scroll out to see my character. I've run the generate lod options but they say it takes a long time but when ever I click it it finishes instantly any help? flobalob
If you have a small test area withe few LOD enabled structures I would imagine that it would not take long to generate LOD, I believe that warning is there to warn anbody from accidentally regenerating the LOD for Tamriel. As for the light blue screen how are you travelling to it. The "Easy" way would be to create a boat in Tamriel with a hatch/door that said something like "Take boat trip to ...", and have a matching boat/hatch/door in your new area and transport like any normal door. GomuGomu64
Or just place a COC marker in the cell, and name it to whatever you want.
across1x
I was just COW <worldspace> 0,0 to travel there. The area of the whole world space is 20x20 grids but the island is only like 5x5 centered on grids 0,0. I'll try and add a COC marker on the island and travel that way thank you.
