thedragonborn456
So whenever I go into the Mass Fusion Building and go down the elevator, the game stops working and a window pops up saying the program has encountered and error and needs to close. It doesn't do this anywhere else. I wasn't sure if it was the quest that caused it, but then I turned collision off and entered when I didn't have the quest and it still crashed so I assume it's the building itself. I verified my game files so that shouldn't be causing it and I turned off the couple mods that affect interiors and it still did it. Any idea of what could be causing it? thedragonborn456
by turned off yo mean disable in your mod manager? i notice some mods need to be uninstalled to make any effect.I double clicked on them in the NMM to disable it so I think it counts as uninstalling. maverikch
well, if it has a red sign its deactivated. if it is with grey text it is uninstalled.
thedragonborn456
Would that make much of a difference?
maverikch
deactivate is only not loading esp. uninstall would remove the esp and ba2 files of a mod.i noticed that it does make a difference in some siutations. you may try that. But CTD's are hard to nail it down to a specific issue/mod there's to many information needed.> Hardware Specs> Configuration of your grafics and sound> Load order of your mods. and at worse it can lay in your save file. thedragonborn456
It's been dong that in different characters I've made so it isn't the save. I feel like it shouldn't be my hardware because I never have an issue anywhere else. Also it's not a regular CTD, a windows thing pops up saying the program isn't responding and needs to close. I have LOOT so load order doesn't seem likely but it is still possible I guess.
maverikch
did some googling about "Fallout 4 stopped working" and stubled upon this topics: https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/496881136907907722/http://help.bethesda.net/app/answers/detail/a_id/31648/~/what-do-i-do-if-fallout-4-is-crashing-with-the-error-%E2%80%9Cfallout-4-has-stoppedhttps://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/3s8tef/fallout_4_has_stopped_working/ most common approach all have is to update your grafic driver or tweak the grafic settings.* you may check if it happens on lower res* windowed mode or just the opposite if you got that.
