Tatoborn
I've been modding for a long time from the original Skyrim to recently Skyrim SE. While modding I noticed that I couldn't find the TSEV.exe in my folder but in the Oldrim I can. I'll provide pictures, though know that I've tried, Verify Game Integrity, Reveal all hidden Items in folder check box to a Fresh Clean Install. I've looked all over online though my searches keeps bringing me to Oldrim topics or Edernal when all I'd like to do is use the latest SKSE thing as when I try to load up through the SKSE Launcher it tells me It doesn't exist. Some of the mods for SE I use says you can use them, example - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/245/? Either the problem is in plain sight or I've been using the wrong set up of mods. Edited September 16, 2017 by The Dude 501st
wfandrews
Why would you look for the TESV.exe when you are playing SSE? What you want is the SkyrimSE.exe.
Tatoborn
Did you look at the link? When I put in the mod, It requires SKSE then it crashes my game cause it needed that one Exe. But if there really is no way for it to work at least I felt like I tried. Niborino9409
Is it specifically that mod you are having problem with? I'm running an older version(which you made me realize lol) that doesn't need skse. More users are having trouble with the skse64 version it seems. Might be too early to start using skse mods =) Edited September 16, 2017 by Niborino9409
Tatoborn
Wait so the Skse Special edition isn't finished? I assumed it was since I've given it a good year of wait. There are other mods that require SKSE or I assume so, like the Dual Sheath Redux mod as the previous Skyrim required it. Unless it doesn't and modders thought of everything and I've just didn't noticed this >...>
Niborino9409
I haven't been checking up on skse64 so can't say yes or no but there's several threads about it. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5983603-wipz-skyrim-script-extender-skse64/page-1 I've thought that it would do more harm than good so I've steered clear of SKSE64 up until now. Tatoborn
Oh I didn't think of that. Thanks for the help and things, and the mod works now that I don't use the SKSE thing. I'll be honest I didn't think I'd get help this fast, so it made my day! Thanks again!

nightscrawl
Oh I didn't think of that. Thanks for the help and things, and the mod works now that I don't use the SKSE thing. I'll be honest I didn't think I'd get help this fast, so it made my day! Thanks again! It specifically says on the achievement mod that it "REQUIRES THE LATEST VERSION OF MY DLL LOADER TO BE INSTALLED IF YOU ARE NOT USING SKSE64!" So, if you're not using SKSE64, then use the latest version of the dll loader, which is also linked there. But to clarify about SKSE64, the release specifically says it's in alpha build, intended for testing purposes only. Here is an alpha version of SKSE64. It is currently not intended for use by most users. It will be primarily interesting for mod authors and people who want to test things. Even the SKSE website says it's an alpha build, for modders (that is, mod authors) only, and that no support will be given. Most users shouldn't even be messing with it at all, and I'd also suggest that mod authors wait to upload SKSE versions until there are more stable releases of SKSE64. By not waiting, they are only doing a disservice to users such as yourself if they don't provide warnings.
