Morrowind on phone

Hi. I bought a morrowind awhile ago for my desktop. Then I bought it for my netbook. Now I was thinking, I should put in on my phone.

Has anyone heard if Bethesda plans to release Morrowind as a .apk, app for android or apple(not sure of the apple file name)?

My phone is 800Mhz, though the graphics processing is lacking.

Anyone else support the idea?

I'd support the idea, but I doubt Bethesda would do that. So many phones wouldn't be able to handle it, I can't imagine there's much money in a risky port like that, especially considering that Morrowind was never even that well optimized for PCs.

I imagine that with time phones will get faster. Worst case scenario; If I have to install windows on my phone, I'll do it.

Consider that the Playstation one was (32 Bit) 33Mhz and the original X-Box was (32Bit) 733Mhz, with 233 Mhz GPU. The super NES was 3.58Mhz.

PS:My computer has the same specs as yours, a few months ago I added the 750 Watt PSU. Though I have two 4890's in crossfire instead.

True, and they did release Daggerfall as freeware somewhat recently, so I guess Bethesda hasn't totally forgotten about the older games.

As for my specs...

768MB of vram is really killing me right now with the newer games. I'm hoping to upgrade to a GTX 580 3GB eventually, since that's the whole reason I got a higher-end PSU. My PC is a work-in-progress that I started building almost a year ago now.

Wow GTX 580 3GB is top of the line. Very expensive. I've decided to get a SSD because the hard drive is the only weak part of my system.

Normally way too expensive, but pc games are a huge part of my life so I may as well try to get the upper end. I would get a GTX 590, but they're like an extra $400 for practically no noticeable performance increase. Blegh. Plus they take more power and they're bigger. That's a while off yet anyway, since I really shouldn't be spending more money right now.

Hopefully in a few years Bethesda will release the source code for Daggerfall and Morrowind. That might make some pretty insane stuff possible, like a Windows operating system for Daggerfall, or an actual online mod for Morrowind. Presumably that would also be needed for a Morrowind phone port.
