zorgora
Hi there, today, well yesterday I went back reinstalled the orignal skyrim (more mods and all) and decided to fully load up on mods and have a merry adventure back from the start all the way to having everything in the game but here's the strange part after getting a constant stream of "CTD" I tested by activating the mods 1 by 1 right at the start to see when it all fell apart and at least so far it looks like no mod is in conflict and the crash is at random trully at random sometimes it's instant the moment I take a step other time it survives for 2 3 mins, it just crashes after random time was wondering if any one could help me figure out why this is happening if I overlooked something, before usually going the 1 by 1 route it was easy to see when it fell apart but this time that's not happening, I used loot for the load order and tes5 to clean the stuffs but no luck. Currently got 85 installed mods trough nexus and think 6 trought steam probably by the time some one replyes that number has gone upThis is the current mod list would greatly apreciate if some one would help me figure out why it's "ctd" at random, I also have papyrus turned on if it helps just no clue how to submit it here the attach files says I'm not permitted to upload that king of file GameMode=Skyrim Skyrim.esm=1Update.esm=1Dawnguard.esm=1HearthFires.esm=1Dragonborn.esm=1Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp=1Campfire.esm=1AmethystHollowsMaster.esm=1GeneralStores.esm=1ApachiiHair.esm=1RaceCompatibility.esm=1HighResTexturePack01.esp=0HighResTexturePack02.esp=0HighResTexturePack03.esp=0SkyUI.esp=1iHUD.esp=1Castle Draco's Legendary DLC Edition.esp=1RLO - Interiors.esp=1niflheim1.esp=1CollegeOfWinterholdImmersive.esp=1JKs Skyrim.esp=1JHE_RavensRestMod.esp=1RealisticWaterTwo.esp=1CastleGrey.esp=1GerheardtPinemistEN.esp=1RLO - Exteriors.esp=1Ebonvale.esp=1UBWRe.esp=1Reaper's Landscape - The Dead Forest.esp=1Thunderchild - Epic Shout Package.esp=1MoonAndStar_MAS.esp=1Undeath.esp=1Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp=1AmethystHollowsUpdate.esp=1Dorn Heven.esp=1FalkreathCastle.esp=1Immersive Weapons.esp=1TempleofTime.esp=1Peaceful Valley.esp=1RealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.esp=1playerhousewlibrary.esp=1Cloaks.esp=11nivWICCloaks.esp=11nivWICSkyCloaksPatch.esp=1Unique Uniques.esp=1OnePieceX.esp=1Susanoo.esp=1Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp=1Sapphire Follower Original.esp=1tyrannusLagrie.esp=1Antennaria.esp=1FyrManor_BASE.esp=1quest into the depths.esp=1Fleetford.esp=1WanderingNazgulRedone.esp=1Sir Alethz_DraconhamCastleProject01.esp=1elvenwood.esp=1LB_MuchAdoSnowElves.esp=1CaranthirTowerReborn.esp=1Castle Strunmah.esp=1Galcern Fortress.esp=1Better City Entrances - All in one.esp=1ForgottenCity.esp=1RavenCastle.esp=1suncresthall.esp=1BlackreachRailroadNew.esp=1FyrManor_DAWNGUARD.esp=1Devils Fruit.esp=1isilNarsil.esp=1Naruto Overhaul.esp=1UchihaClan.esp=1Exotic Waterfall Base.esp=1FyrManor_HEARTHFIRE.esp=1AetheriumSwordsnArmor.esp=1Magic of the Magna-Ge.esp=1Undercity.esp=1DarkburnedBlade.esp=1Shrouded Lair.esp=1Ritual Armor of Boethiah.esp=1MoonAndStar_Undeath_compat.esp=1BlackSacramentArmor.esp=1BlackSacramentDBReplacer.esp=1The_Sinister_Seven.esp=1Contractor Armor.esp=1Skyrim Unlimited Rings And Amulets.esp=1IcePenguinWorldMap.esp=1TrueNazgul.esp=1The Paarthurnax Ultimatum.esp=1DemonsFATEV1.esp=1WoW Weapons of Skyrim.esp=1zabuku.esp=1Fate and Volition weapons collections.esp=1same.esp=1MarblePhantasm.esp=1NineLivesBladeWorks.esp=1OverflowingEnchant.esp=1Beards.esp=1RLO - Effects.esp=1RLO - Illuminated Spells.esp=1Supreme Fog.esp=1TrueStorms.esp=1TrueStorms-RLO.esp=1Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp=1WetandCold.esp=1WetandCold - Ashes.esp=1Dr_Bandolier.esp=1RaceCompatibilityUSKPOverride.esp=1AMatterOfTime.esp=1unlimitedbookshelves.esp=1 Small edit: this was done on a fresh start of the game, and I never had this sort of problem before
Deleted3082751User
First of all What are your System Specs, along with your GPU, CPU, and Memory Usage <-- this is essential information, to help determine if this is a hardware issue, or resource issue. also are you on Windows 7 or 10 <-- again important information to know, since you playing Oldrim. Second of all have you Cleaned these Master Files: Update.esmDawnguard.esmHearthFires.esmDragonborn.esm and Third of all have you run LOOT and checked for any mods that may have issues, and proceeded to clean the mods that may have issues (Using: Tes5Edit) 4. Disable Papyrus Logging, the majority of the time it will not help you (especially to determine crashes), and can in fact increase the likely hood of crashes simply because it will constantly write to your harddrive. since all it does is tell you script activity, now while this may sound good on paper, it is not good in practice, as it is very rare if at all that it will tell you what caused the crash. 50% of the log will be information about the master files, which is redundant information to you and the other 50% will be the scripts in mods checking for compatibility, assuming you have mods that are using scripts, if not, then the entire information will be about skyrim master files, all of which is redundant information to the user. Papyrus logging is really only useful to script makers, simply so they can see if their scripts are working properly (and even then its debatable), but as a mod user, the information in the logs are redundant to you. (their will be many errors in the logs even without any mods at all, same situation as the creation kit, theirs loads of errors before you even make a mod, all of which is yet again about skyrim master files) xD the only mods that really stand out to me are: JK Skyrim <-- Resource Intensive RLO <-- Potentially Resource Intensive - (are you using the JIT option) True Storms <-- Potentially Resource Intensive - (weather mods usually are) Wet And Cold <-- Potentially Resource Intensive Edited September 18, 2017 by Guest
zorgora
I'm using windows 10 pro, intel® core i5 CPU [email protected], 12GB of ram, NVIDIA Geforce GT 640 2047MB, an OCZ-TRION100 (SSD), I have cleaned those files and any file LOOT acuses of dirty ITM, LOOT also doesn't accuse any incompatability. Checking the task manager the game barely uses more then 3gb of ram and cpu is usually at 39% usage no clue on the graphics card, disc not really bothered checking it but it reaches 100mb/s at times but stayes at 25-45mb/s About RLO don't think I'm using JIT option, and does oldrim mean old skyrim? xD also how did you post a reply with a time stamp that's ahead of mine before I posted this one? zorgora
This crashing is driving me insane to be honest if it was a regular crash it would be great much simpler to figure out which mod causes it but it crashes at random and I know my pc can handle it hell it was handling much heavier mods in the past when I was using the same stuff gopher was using, the needs mod or what ever it was called and a bunch of other stuff the mods list was at least double the size it is now and it doesn't even matter any more if I'm in the open world indoors or where ever hell even opening the menu now causes it to crash
Deleted3082751User
1. Windows 10 has a 4gb memory limit for Dx9 games of which Oldrim is, so you only have 1 Gb available for modding (which is nothing for a modded game, so your still ok now, but if you reach over 4gb the game will crash) 2. harddrive info does not really matter, GPU, CPU and Memory usage does however. 3. Jit is more likely to cause issues, because it will modify lighting in real time. instead of already editing all light sources once. 4. oldrim does indeed mean Old Skyrim, its called that because the Special Edition is basically oldrim replacement, thus would be New Skyrim 5. this would be a site error, which is seems to be fixed. your system is pretty sub par and would very likely not handle JK Skyrim as that is very resource intensive, especially causing issues for Oldrim, even for people with powerful machines, it does however run much better on the special editon. so i would recommend removing this mod, since your machine will not handle it, and it could push skyrim over the 4gb memory limit (simply because of the more textures to load), however this only applies to windows 10 because of the memory limit. where abouts in the game are you checking the Hardware Usage ? check it in a town that has a lot of activity Basically check the usage in Markarth and then report back here for example my old Radeon 7970 could not handle JK skyrim and that card is far more powerful then yours. so yea just saying. their is not many mods that is as demanding as the mod in question in regards to resource intensive. zorgora
Well I'm not sure but might have fixed the random CTDs, or at least I just spent 15m which compared to before is alot with out a single crash, thanks twistedfatal, I didn't disable JKs, still don't know what JIT is and how to check if I have it enabled or not, but you reminded me about the 4gb memory limit to Dx9 that's something windows 7 also had and the fix for it at the time was SSME, so I put it in and yea not crashing any more, I did go ahead and check the memory cpu and disc usage, tried it in solitude whiterun markarth riften, memory is at 1.3gb usage with spikes to 2.4gb cpu is at 36% with spikes to 68% disc is at 50mb/s with spikes to 120mb/s, I also forgot to mention my graphics card is overclocked (brother did it so no clue what it's actual values are), over all they are I feel like normal values, playing prey at least in comparison has cpu at 80% disc at 200mb/s memory upwards of 3GBs with big spikes and graphics card no clue again ^^", I feel like there was also another thing I used before but hey at least the game isn't "CTD" anymore which is good time to game for the next 12hours straight
