Reflecting Player in water

I'm working on a esp file and a lot of my questions are concerning that - so would this be the best place to ask, or should these kind of question normally go in general discussion?

My question was is it possible for Fallout 3 to reflect NPCs in water? In the project I am working on, I am trying to make a mirror using placeable water flipped 90 degrees, with a collision plane in front of it. It looks great and I can make it reflect everything except my own avatar. I don't know how to do that, or if it's even possible.

Would appreciate any help or advice.

Cheers

/Jason

If you open the properties for a placeable water tile and click Edit Base, you should see a list of Reflects and Refracts options.

There should be an option to get it to reflect actors, but if you're going to change the settings of the base object then you should change it's ID and when you close the window click yes to create a new form, otherwise you'll be changing the properties of a load of other placeable water tiles.

If it still doesn't reflect your avatar with that option checked, then I'd guess it probably can't. Mirrors are difficult to handle efficiently, so it seems like a lot of games find ways around the problem by putting in something that looks like a mirror, but isn't really.
