Yea all of them. But I don't have the slightest idea how. Can someone help me?
Tamujiin
I am sure that has been done, think about it.....Biggest overhaul?.........Mosty popular body mod? it is probably on PES. Some friendly advice, if you have no idea what you are doing start out small. I mean really small, and finish what you complete, and test it not once, not twice but 20 times to make sure all bugs are out. I have one thing i am doing right now, and i just hate doing it because it isnt finished, and i mess up once its f'ed up, so back up what you do also like every step. modding is no kiddies game, by that i mean you have to be serious if you want the good out of it, Examples: You make a good mod, people download it, ask you to make more, give you kudos = you enjoy it more. You make a bad mod, people wont download it, tell you to find something else to do instead of mod, Tell you how bad the mod sucks = You begin to dislike the website and everything including the game. This sight is good for people giving you good positive feedback even if your mod "needs alot of improvement". ( thank the moderators ) but like everywhere else there are jerks who can hit a nerve, even to some of the best of us. Not to scare you away. But like i said, start out small and test it 50 times or so so you dont get made to feel bad. With that said i hope you know truely what you are doing, and turn out to be as good as the best around. Good luck.
bben46
I will second Einhander's suggestions. Start small. Learn the Construction set first. Test until you are sick of it. then post it as a beta because something in it will not work right. Be prepared for people who have never tried to make a mod to whine and complain because YOUR mod did not do what THEY wanted it to. Even if it did exactly what you wanted it to. Don't mod for THEM make the mod what you want it to be and only change it if YOU want it that way. Modding is supposed to be fun. If it becomes work, drop it. Listen to the constructive criticism, ignore the whiners and don't feed the trolls. Looking forward to seeing your mods posted here.
Tamujiin
I would like to add one more thing, and also say i totally agree with bben46, the thing i would like to add is whatever you make, make sure you have a good readme. Describe exactly what your mod does, and any other issues like incompatibility ect. alot of New modders make the mistake of a poor readme, and to me if the readme sucks then the mod probably sucks. But dont feel discouraged by what anybody tells you, negative anyways, if your serious about modding then those small timers shouldnt bother you. But Remeber, make the mod for yourself, and if you decide to release it, have a good readme and describe your mod in detail. if you have any questions, feel free to PM me. And good luck. Also , i havent met a rude mod maker yet, so dont feel like anybody that has legitamte skills, would put you down. at the worst they would send you a long PM describing in detail what you did wrong and directions on how to fix it. Daryis
hmm thanks. I guess I do need to learn the Construction Set first huh. Like I said I haven't a clue as to what I could possibly do. Well I do need a couple of suggestions though. I need programs that will create meshes or alter made ones. So i can create my own weapons and armor. And as far as making my own textures umm a tutorial would be nice. I just can't find anything out there. hehe I really feel like I'm asking a lot of anybody but I consider myself a decent player and would like to see something in Oblivion that I may not like and change it. And if I feel that other people might feel the same way as I do I'll post the mod. I just need to get started. So a little help would be greatly appreciated. And thanks for the tips already, I just need to figure out what to start small with.
bben46
The instructions and a good CS starting tutorial are on the Wiki, Here: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Main_Page This is probably the best place to start - learn the CS first, then get into texturing and meshes. For textures, I recommend The Gimp http://www.gimp.org/Gimp tutorial: http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/ For Meshes, I recommend Blender: http://www.blender.org/Blender tutorial: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro Then you will need nifskope: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ckage_id=170735Nifskope custom weapon tutorial: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...s_with_Nifskope
hsandman_2
There was a tutorial on modding .pdf book. LHamonds uploaded it to Tesnexus, so just look for "oblivion mod maker manual". And yes... start out small.
Daryis
hey thanks for the tutorials. Umm I'm thinkin' about adding a dungeon as my first mod. Yeah I know just another dungeon. But like you all said I should start small so I think that it's small enough for me. So hopefully I'll get my first mod on this site soon. Thanks again
