Deleted4610270User
I spent a ton of time trying to do one thing - make in-game lighting just like cut scene lighting and even though I tried everything from KNGULM to CutSceneLighting mod to Extended View Distance Asmo, the desired effect is not there for most scenes... I made absolutely sure that no other mods were installed, but none of them just work. I assume that Cut Scene Lighting preset would mean lighting in and out-of-cut scenes is identical, but its not... I uploaded a savegame here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B54HJ36TbhjwaThIVHJfSnVxMG8/view?usp=sharing It is in front of a door where 2 dwarfs inside. Its dark and raining outside, but once you get inside and start talking with those 2 dwarfs in a cut scene, you get a ton of bright lighting from nowhere and if you decide to pick a fight with them, this bright lighting will quickly and smoothly become the normal dark/vanilla lighting... At least that is the case on my PC. Is it the same for yours (that is IF you use Cut Scene Lighting of course). The same goes for No Cut Scene Lighting mod. I just don't get it. Ultimately I wanted the following combination:- In-game lighting is identical to cut scene lighting- Fake character lighting is removed in both vanilla environment and in cut scenes- Fog is heavily reduced like in STLM or Extended View Distance- Atmospheric Nights compatible- NOT use STLM Is such a combination even possible??? LordWroth
There is a mod that gets rid of the fake lighting. Ive used it in combination with KNGR Cutscene lighting. While its not perfect, it gets the job done.
Deleted4610270User
It gets rid of fake lighting, but it does not make it so that out-of-cutscene gameplay lighting = cut-scene lighting. nemeyeth
You can check my reshade preset - I use it with atmospheric nights and some other mods.
Deleted2770933User
No offence, @nemeyeth, but a Reshade preset is NOT going to fix the lighting issues being addressed here. Not in a million years. Edited October 2, 2017 by Guest
Deleted4610270User
What I think happens is that in at least several cut-scenes light sources begin producing more light/heavier light and some people in the past called it "Global Illumination" effect that turned on only in cut-scenes. That sucks. Its 2017 and modern PC's, even mid-range ones, can very much handle that type of "Global Illumination"...There has to be a way to force it!
