More creatures in the wilderness

It seems to me that Skyrim needs more creatures wandering around. I have walked from one end of skyrim to the other and only run across a couple of deer and a fox. However I don't want to have so many creatures around that I bump my elbow on one whenever I unsheathe my sword.

Can anyone recommend something

I too think that Skyrim (as Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas) is a little empty... For 2 of the 3 games named before, Marts Monster Mod (and Marts Mutant Mod), as well as another that I do not remember the name for New Vegas, added tons of spawn points...

Would be nice, for Skyrim, to put more life into it indeed! I'd fully support the mod (I'm too new to those kind of mod and I don't know how to do them... Shame cause I'd like to put more life!!!)

There's a mod, Real Wilflife that adds a little more/different wildlife...

One thing that I would like to attempt is to bring the creatures from Oblivion into Skyrim. I am not sure how the meshes would interact with Skyrim's game engine though. Think about it; forging Daedric armor requires Daedra hearts yet the only sources for them are the rare appearances alchemy shop inventories and the occasional atronach wandering the wilderness. Summoned atronachs are useless as daedra heart sources because they vanish when killed. Bringing daedra from Oblivion into Skyrim would provide more variety to creature encounters as well as a better and lore-friendly source for alchemy reagents.

As for non-daedra creatures, there are imps, boars, dreughs, goblins, and the unicorn. I can't think of any others off the top of my head. The Oblivion versions of slaughterfish and mudcrabs could also be imported as sub-species of each. As for the Oblivion bears, deer, trolls, and atronachs there would be no need to import since there are plenty of those in Skyrim already. Skeevers are essentially just rats so importing Oblivion rats wouldn't serve much purpose, I suppose, but that's a matter of personal opinion. I may post this as a separate topic just to see what the reactions are.
