Institute CTD

Below is a list of my order list. When i fast traveled to Institute after leaving it the first time, i got a CTD, i tried older saves, everything, kept getting a CTD. so i uninstalled all mods, Verified game files, and reinstalled, started a new game, and did coc institutesrb, loaded fine. Then i walked outside, into the institute area, and got a CTD. Please help! I haven't been able to play because i'm stressing over this issue.

 

PS I installed Hot Mama Murphy and Karna because for some reason, Mama murphy had no pants on... and it was the easiest fix i could find, so if anyone knows how to get her pants back, that would be great :)

If you still ctd with a completely vanilla game upon entering the institute, then it might be a some kind of game settings or remnants of a mod(s) that were not completely uninstalled. Otherwise, try disabling Unique NPCS to see if it fixes your issue. If that does resolve your issue, it seems to be a problematic mesh file from the Unique NPC -Main.ba. Check its mod page, I posted a solution for it there under the posts section.

 

As for the murphy pants issue, I would guess one of your mods is conflicting with her default gear.

I think it was an outfit mod i had previously installed, but recently uninstalled and removed, every other outfit looks fine, except hers...

 

I woke up late today so when i get home from work i'll see if turning off UniqueNPC helps with the CTD in the Institute. I think i need to look at my load order as well after seeing load order posts, LOOT put UniqueNPCs in slot 19, i have a feeling it should be much lower... like around 67 or 68

Okay so initally i tried moving around mod order... CTD... then i disabled the plugin for UniqueNPC.. no CTD, so now i'll try to edit those two files you mentioned in your post and see if i get success.

Final Update, Following your steps, Unpacking the Main.ba2, replacing RustDevil1 and 2 with 3 and renaming them 1 and 2, fixed it! Thanks so much! =D
