Custom Follower using modded race - Creation kit: model not found

I'm at my wits end... Despite being new to modding I decided to try and create a custom follower for my personal use using the Dagi Raht Race mod. I created my character in a new file using the race and followed a guide to get the .npc file so I could import it into CK. However, when I go to import it and load up the preview, CK says "Could not find Race form...", "Could not find Head part...". I would be incredibly grateful if someone could help me figure out what is going wrong here and how to fix it.
