Stuck in dialogue with Kodlak

Hello all,

So I'm having an issue where after the Proving Honor quest finishes behind Jorrvaskr, Kodlak begins speaking to me as usual and says "your one of us now, etc. etc." but then the dialogue stops and I can't respond. we just stare at each other trapped in a dialogue with no exit or options. I can get into the console but TAB doesn't work to exit the dialogue and ESC doesn't work either. thanks for reading and for any help. Cheers.

had something similar happen earlier, open the console and type "coc whiterun" it'll break you out of the conversation. then just go back and start the conversation again
