MokahTGS
Is there a guide to adding formatting code to file entries? I'd like to spruce up my entries but I don't know how.
Morbannon
Mokah - you have much more room in your sig, I think you should embed a pink pirate ship image :P
Tchos
Here's a nice guide to BBcode!http://www.bbcode.org/examples/ As for myself, I use a Firefox plugin that allows me to select text and apply BBcode formatting to it.
amycus
I assume you mean something like this? http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?&app=forums&module=extras§ion=legends&do=bbcode Works in both forum posts and in the mod descriptions.
MokahTGS
So I have tried getting BBCode to work in my nexus uploads and most of it does not work. Everything works just fine on the forums. Anyone know what is wrong? Edited March 21, 2012 by MokahTGS
Tchos
Which code isn't working? I see colour and underlining on your Vertex I. If it's URLs, there's a workaround for the problem it has with URLs that end with a slash. If you're trying to include images in the description, there's more than one way to do that, and I think only one is supported in the descriptions. I did it this way: http://vnmedia.ign.com/nwvault.ign.com/awards/HallofFame.jpg Which is:[img=http://vnmedia.ign.com/nwvault.ign.com/awards/HallofFame.jpg] Though I think the image should be located on a different host, so it isn't taking another site's bandwidth. MokahTGS
There are certain codes that are not working. , , , and are 4 that I tried to use but do not work on the Nexus file site. To be clear, they DO work on the forums...just not in file descriptions. Edited March 22, 2012 by MokahTGS
Tchos
There are certain codes that are not working. , , , and are 4 that I tried to use but do not work on the Nexus file site. To be clear, they DO work on the forums...just not in file descriptions.I've successfully used [img] in the file description, in the manner I showed above (I tested it before reporting it here). I also use in my file descriptions, but I can only make it work for bulleted lists, not numbered lists. I wasn't able to make the italics work. I haven't tried [code], but I know works, which might be a useful alternative.
MokahTGS
I cut and pasted your method and it still does not work. I'm not sure what is wrong.
