The idea of the mod is simple:

Hotkey is chosen in the game.

When hotkey is pressed camera rises above player and the game paused.

Then the player can issue command to the companions.

Like in XCOM 2 for example.

doubt that can work, issuing a command while the game is paused.

 

But there are longer 3rd person camera mod + slowed time mod,

 

Which is sort of the same thing.
