LE Non-Hostile Dragons

I have search so much for a mod like this, with none available (at least that work). I am well aware of "Friendly Dragons" on the Steam Workshop- bugs aside, someone has already pointed out in the comments that this mod flags spawned dragons as non-hostile; dragons spawned before the mod is installed will still be hostile, and those marked as non-hostile will also remain this way after the mod is removed. All of that aside, I have tried it myself and it didn't work regardless. In my opinion, it's a crude way of achieving friendly dragons in Skyrim though I'm hoping there is an alternative.

I've been thinking about such a mod myself but if it were to work what would the dragons do instead of attacking the player? Feels like they don't have much of an ai apart from attacking stuff. Perhaps if it was possible for them to not attack the player. Perhaps if you put the dragons and player in a faction together.

 

Edit: I actually loaded up the CK to try my theory so here goes. I tried putting the player in the Dragon Faction. All members of that faction are allies with each other but there are only dragons in that faction. This might mess stuff up but we'll see... :laugh:

 

Edit: didn't do anything at all. Spawned a dragon and he still attacked. I guess it isn't that easy.
