sooperfish
I get a CTD after the bethesda logo. This is my papyrus log: [09/30/2017 - 12:41:41AM] Papyrus log opened (PC)[09/30/2017 - 12:41:41AM] Update budget: 1.200000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 1.200000ms, Load screen budget: 500.000000ms)[09/30/2017 - 12:41:41AM] Memory page: 128 (min) 512 (max) 153600 (max total)[09/30/2017 - 12:41:43AM] Cannot open store for class "DLC1TestPhilAtronach", missing file? This made me think something was wrong with a Dawnguard NPC (DLC1) so i replaced dawnguard.esm with a fresh one but that didn't help. Before I'm gonna have to disable and reinstall every single mod i have to check which one conflicts, i wanted to post here first to see if there's an easier way to fix this. I also wonder what exactly 'cannot open store for class xxxxxx' means
sooperfish
Just realizing the papyrus log might have nothing to do with my ctd. I will have to do the lengthy method of checking every single mod i have tomorrow.
AnkhAscendant
Did you alter your load order recently? Crash without even starting almost always means you're missing a master file.
Shadeybladey
Probably missing file dependency. You could find the solution by searching the forum. I get a bit fed up typing out the same thing every few weeks.
sooperfish
Figured out it has something to do with Landscape Fixes For Grass Mods. When I have no mods enabled but USSEP and Veydosebrom (the grass mod I use), it works fine, but when I use Landscape Fixes For Grass Mods it crashes on the logo. I have LOOT do the load order, but even if I manually put the grass fixes under the grass mod it still won't work.
sooperfish
Cutting Room Floor seems to do the same thing.Edit: Open Cities has the same problem as well. Maybe somehow my game doesn't like cells being edited? Edited September 30, 2017 by sooperfish
Kroekr
Did you look at your mods in LOOT, TesVEdit and/or Wrye Bash? They will tell you if you are missing a file or have other issues.
Shadeybladey
Doesn't Skyrim SE need a new version of SKSE and mods designed specifically for it? I don't have SE yet, but I had the impression that SKSE still needed updating for it, although I may have missed the memo. But, generally, always check that you have the latest version of any modscheck that your mods are designed for/compatible with the Skyrim version you are usingcheck any dependent mods are the correct version for the mod they rely oncheck you have the correct and updated Unofficial Patch version Maybe you should post your load order, IE your sorted mod list (In Spoiler Tags!)? As far as I am aware, SE is basically LE with better graphics, IE it has all the DLC but not as many mods. Also, it's worth signing up at AFK mods, as well as here, so you can learn more about how modding works and how the unofficial patches work and what they do. Shadeybladey
Just checked with a friend who's played through SE and he says SKSE (SE) is in beta, so that will mean more mods will be available. I would suspect your issue is using mods not designed for SE, although not all mods need SKSE anyway, so it could be some other incompatibility.
sooperfish
I don't have any mods installed that require skse. After disabling the grass fix and cutting room floor, i can access the menu, but i cant start a new game (CTD again). Papyrus logs tell me that the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch can't be found, so maybe one of the mods is badly ported and thinks it still needs USLEEP? (I have USSEP)
