Zmol
Hiya guys - been playing Morrowind so much back in the days and Oblivion now and again. These days ive been trying to get back on track with oblivion and all the mods and methods of applying mods that have sprouted since i first played oblivion vanilla. What im saying is that im somewhat new to (succesfully) using mods :P So on to business - I downloaded the QTP3 redimezed texture pack. Then I, as instructed in the readme, made an omod file using oblivion omod creater (i added the extracted folder) and that took about an hour. Having done that the icon in the modmanager was red showing mulitple conflicts (and yet it was the first mod except for the official ones that I had activated). I had read something about "invalidation" so i used just about all of the invalidation methods (having no idea what i was doing really) and then I tried activating the mod, but it started asking wether or not to overwrite the files that were conflicting with the mod... and then i force quit modmanager mid process. As a result the program refused to launch afterwards telling me that it needed to be in the oblivion directory (which it indeed was)... so now im installing oblivion again and hopefully i wont mess it up this time. SO MY QUESTION IS...- how do i install redimized?- what invalidation methods do i use, and when and why?- are there any other glaring flaws in my way of handling these mods? :P- any other thoughts? Thx in advance guys, and be gentle ^^
dyfed99
1. Make the .omod and make sure there are no other subfolders in the folder where you have extracted the mod except those interesting for the mod. In this case just Meshes and textures. 2. Activate the omod selecting 'No' when obmm ask you for a warning about any conflict. 3. Run the Archive Invalidation with the BSA alteration method (I use these settings: http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z87/dyf...ng?t=1212004556 )
