Ronivan
Hello everyone, I'm in a bit of a big problem and it's really starting to annoy me. My arrow don't hit enemies at long range distance, and it's not even that long. I know about the solution provided herethe use of skyrim.ini tweak: fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=12288.0000, and even after I place this in both ini I have (since I'm using Mod Organizer), it didn't solved my problem. The tweak of the crosshair aim worked perfectly, but not the range. I don't know if any mod is conflicting with this, I'm not even using any view distance or LOD mod. I'm using USLEEP but I don't know if it has any influence of this. I know its quite frustating because even after the tweak it don't work. Anyone could helpe me solve this? Ewookie1
So, I'm not imagining this! I'm having the SAME problem! I went through the STEP setup. I left a few things out that weren't required for the Extended patches, but there isn't anything in their that could explain the problem with the distance issue. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe it 'IS' something with USLEEP. Because that is really the only thing that I've done differently from the last time I tried to mod Skyrim. It's been a while, but most of the mods used in STEP haven't changed 'all' that much. The compilation patches is a little new, but from what I've read and seen, it doesn't look like it actually 'changes' anything. It just sort of merges patches into a collective bunch. The only thing that I can see that actually "FIXES" the base features of the game, are the UPDATE.ESM which I don't believe has been updated in a few years. Then, there are the "Hires texture packs", buy they don't have anything to do with archery.I've searched through TES5Edit and through Creation Kit for ANYTHING that might be affecting this issue and have found 'nothing'. Of course, I am no mod "creator"! I've just tried to 'peek' inside to see if I could find a clue about what's going on.I'm going to try this "without" USLEEP and see what happens. Any input would be GREATLY appreciated.Thank you all for your help (in advance).
Apophis99942
Same deal. Beyond a certain range, which I'd guess to be about 20 yards, my arrows actually go THROUGH targets without doing damage. Bandits, Elk, Giants, and even impossible-to-miss things like Mammoths; arrows just pass right through them like they aren't even there. I can even see where the arrows hit the ground BEHIND the targets, and can retrieve them from those exact spots. This effectively makes Archery a moot point in the game, as having to be within 20 yards of what you're trying to hit kinda defeats the purpose of ranged combat. I've also done the .ini tweaks, and I have the latest unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition patch, which was supposed to have fixed this known issue, but clearly hasn't. Is there really no one out there who's got this thing figured out and can help? Seeing as how "Sneak Archer" is one of the most popular play styles in the whole game, I can't see how this has gone under the radar.
