js303 Posted October 2, 2017 Share Posted October 2, 2017 I'm working on my mod "Corporate Wasteland" which changes a lot of the item names in the game and I want them to be compatible in VIS... I thought all I would have to do is open up the main VIS file in creation kit and rename the items but the main VIS file I have uses multiple master files and I can't open it... is there something I'm doing wrong? pra Posted October 4, 2017 Share Posted October 4, 2017 (edited) You want to change the default VIS file? You should not do that. Instead, you should open your mod in FO4Edit, then right-click your items, select "copy as override into", and select "new file". Then, in said new file, change the names (F2, you might need to disable "hide no-conflict rows" first). Or, you could use my script for Fo4Edit:https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25713/? it doesn't really works on weapons and armor, though, and the final result will probably need manual tweaking, but still.
