dontmakemeeatyou
The picture was resized from 1650x1080 to 1024x640 so some of the background may be off but you get the idea of my problem. http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/9938/ob...82032290hk9.jpg The sky is black. This started happening after I downloaded rpgsomething's ATI 3.0 shader to fix the purple texture problem. While the new shader fixed the ground, I think it screwed up the sky. It is the shader that messed it up or do you think it's some other mod? My video card is a ATI HD 3870 w/ 8.5 Catalyst drivers (5/21/08).
bben46
It's most likely the shader because I haven't seen that problem caused by any mods. Please keep me advised (by PM) on what you find, as I am writing a series of help and troubleshooting files for Oblivion and this would be a good one to add. Yes, I do give credit in my files to those who contribute. Thanks
Triforce1
If you find a way to fix it, great. But I think it's kind of cool...
dyfed99
This happens in my game as well! Mainly if I fast travel or switching from an interior to an exterior or vice-versa. Sometimes it seems to happen while the weather changes suddenly.. but I could be wrong!BTW, I'm running a nVidia 8800 GTS card.. Though, Luchaire, over at CI forums wrote that a similar problem could occur with meshes which don't support very well reflections (or something like that, I can't recall very well). This answering, time ago, to a question of another forum user about weird black distant lod meshes. In his opinion this is due the poor far meshes reflections (cause those aren't so big and detailed and many times are optimized reducing the polygon number or in other ways) and using streamline, he said, that adds a good amount of fog in game, for optimizing purposes, this issue is more accentuated. So, by his words, this could be related to the poor game's reflections and the fog..But, I repeat, I could be easily wrong..
