More constant CTD problems....

Hi Guys.

 

Okay I've gone once again, from a very stable game, for the most part. To one that constantly crashes for no apparent reason.

 

I was getting constant CTD's on quick save, and load a few days back. Not sure what was causing this. Certainly not save bloat, as my save file was only 17mb.

 

Now I'm getting permanent CTD's when leaving The Bannered Mare. It seems that for a while, my game will play flawlessly. Then start crashing., Again, for no real reason.

 

My PC setup is this.

 

i5 6400 2.71Ghz

8GB memory

Both a 1GB Built in video card, and a 2GB Built in one.

 

I know the graphics card is proper s#*!, and I'm planning on getting a GTX 1050Ti 4GB one very soon.

 

I SHOULD be able to select the 2GB card in the game menu, but for some reason, I'm onmly able to select the crappy 1GB one.

 

I've turned off ALL graphical enhancements, and am running the game on medium quality, but it's still crashing. I completed the game back in 2011. When it first came out, and at that time , my graphics card would have been even worse than what I currently have.

And all the rustic enhanced visuals.

Well it happened again. Just played for about 30 mins with no problems. Then died. Reloaded, and got a CTD exactly the same place that just played fine.

I noticed that you don't have any memory or crash fixes. Are you using ENBoost? I'm guessing that you're not using an ENB preset. Here are a bunch of things that can help with your stability:

• SKSE Memory Patch - Sheson's memory patch is integrated into SKSE, but not enabled by default.
• ENBoost - This gives you the memory management features of ENB without the visual effects processing.
• Crash Fixes - Changes memory allocation method, and often provide crash information. Be sure to read the description.
• Load Game CTD Fix - Prevents crashing on load due to race condition bug.

I have all of these installed, except that I'm using an ENB instead of ENBoost. Skyrim is way more stable with these.

I always thought the memory issues were corrected with the latest version of script extender.

Okay after installing the above patches/mods, I can safely say my game seems to be running VERY smoothly. Played for 2 hours with not one crash. Saved perfectly, and loaded perfectly. Even reactivated my visual mods.
