Before playing I cleaned my masters, sorted load order, made a new bashed patch, and corrected my regular conflicts with SSEedit. Seems to run fine, except that the steel smithing menu is different. Most of the steel armor items are grayed out, and say "name missing," where they would normally say like "steel shin boots." It lets me craft the items, still, but they are apparently unplayable because I can't equip them, put them on mannequins, or even see them in my inventory. I am able to see them at the smelter, though (Ars Metallica mod.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What I ended up doing is cutting/pasting my mods, meshes, and textures, into a temp folder, completely deleting and reinstalling Skyrim SE, them moving the mods back and going through the usual LOOT, bashed patch, SSE, etc. Seems to be working again, but I'll have a better idea today, when I get to do some play testing beyond just giving myself the perk and checking the forge. Current load order.
