Deleted30920795User
There, I just finished setting up my load order. After days of struggling with NMM, Tes5Edit, MatorSmash, Requiem Patches, LOD generation and dozens of GBs in downloads and hours changing/fixing mod quirks, I am done; a couple of mods shy of 150. I have all the mods I feel compliment my game working in proficient harmony. Yet, two hours into my first playthrough I realize two of the things that have always irked me about Skyrim managed to sift through into my beautiful, immersive world.1. The absurd, illogical and unimmersive distance of the locations of radiant quest objectives, with respect to where you are. (e.g you get a bounty quest in Riften to kill a bandit in a Solitude cave, the other side of the world!)2. The ludicrous fact that most if not all of an NPC's property, including money, becomes available to you after you do them some small favor. (Got no money to buy food? no prob, go out chop a couple of logs for the innkeeper and get access to all the meals on the tables, items, weapons and all the gold you can find laying around. And on top of that, she still pays you for the wood!) So I turn to you, gracious folk, to help me find the solution to my immersion problems. Are there any mods that change these things?Thank you. willette8
1. I'm not sure I've ever seen something like this (excluding localized Thieves Guild). However I can recommend Missives for radiant quests https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/85815/?It is somewhat localized, as in the quest givers are always from the city. There are different types of jobs some of which can take you far away, but you can simply not take those quests or dismiss the missive and remove it from your quest journal. Also it works well with Requiem. I've used it for a while and so far only once did I have a problem. My quest giver was a "wounded solider" and I couldn't interact with him, so either a quick reload or just dismissing the quest and no more problems.2. Maybe this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76509/? It doesn't completely remove this feature, but I guess it makes it a little more realistic
Deleted30920795User
The second mod you link has the potential to pretty much solve my problem. I honestly didn't think the solution would be so simple; merely modifying that game setting, ifavor, to 0 can make it so that nothing is ever set to be taken for free. Brilliant. I'll still download and endorse to show some gratitude. Thank you so much. As for the first issue, I have an idea on how to solve it. I'll make sure to post the solution here for others to benefit. Cheers!
