UniCornflower
Dear community, step by step I try doing things with NifSkope, just very simple noobish things and yay, sometimes I got the job done but not this time. I really need your help, you experienced modders out there. At the moment I am working on an owl on shoulder mod. You can summon the owl onto your shoulder whenever you want. I am using the crow from the Shadow Merchant mod as base. My problem is, that I just learned how to combine different meshes, how to import missing bones and so on. Everything works fine now after a lot of try and error. My only problem is that somehow I can not adjust the position and size of the owl mesh. I know that I have to "apply" when I am finished with editing and that´s the point I have trouble with! When I apply to the changes, the meshes disappear ingame!! Someone wrote that sometimes you have to edit the NiSkinData, too and yes I found that editor and tried something but it didn´t work because actually I do not understand exactly what to do. How can I adjust size and position and save the whole stuff? Could someone pls tell me what to do in words of one syllable? I´d be so very grateful XD Edited October 5, 2017 by UniCornflower
TheMightyArchaon
Have you tried moving the meshes in outfit studio?
UniCornflower
I found a very cheap solution right now, I just deleted the NiSkinData Branch, edited size and position, applied and it worked XD. Although I am sure that´s not the best solution. So if anyone knows a better way I am still interested :D
UniCornflower
Have you tried moving the meshes in outfit studio?Nah, I didn´t. I do not work with Outfit Studio and that owl actually isn´t an outfit XD. I am sure it´s possible to do that with NifSkope. But thank you. I edited steel swords with it to great effect. But an owl might be a bit trickier though since I didn't have to mess with weights and stuff for swords.
