Skyrim Trainer making

This is a tricky one cause for all it's intelligence Google and Youtube do not recognise the word "Trainer" as a "skill teacher" but a game cheat so I rely on you now.

 

The Issue is as follows: I want to make a smithing trainer NPC in a mod but I simply can't get him to cooperate:

 

- I did put the factions JobTrainerFaction and JobTrainerSmithing into the NPC

- I did set the NPC to be TrainerSmithingMaster in class box in stats (hell I even set his smithing skill to 105)

- I did put a Trainer gold script in the script box (yes I also set up the properties just like in e.g. Eorlund Graymane NPC)

 

Is there something I'm missing cause I realy don't want to rely on duplicating NPCs

I just checked the DialogueTrainers quest. Almost all the dialogue is limited to specific NPCs. All the lines dealing with smithing require the speaker to be either Eorlund, Balimund, or Ghorza. If you want your NPC to offer training, you'll have to create a new topic or else change the current topics so that they're not tied to specific NPCs.

Then I'll have to bear it without any custom trainers, the mod I've made is to be as compatible as possible (this means it can't be invasive on anything in the game).

You could always create your own quest to put your own trainer dialogue in. You can even unpack the BSA (not sure if it's sound or voices... probably voices) to find the audio files for the original topics and reuse them in your own quest so you have voiced dialogue.

OK, I am quite late for this and GW2 is to be blamed. But now I am making some mode and need trainers too. So I found this guy explaining how to do it. I hope it helps
