Almost got it all on my own

I have never modded Oblivion before yesterday. I was able to read tons of tutorials and get the thing so modded out it isn't even funny. But I am having problems with just one mod.

This mod works great and I don't even have any of the missing or black eye issues that eveyone else here has.

 

What I do have an issue with is that the game starts, I make a perfect looking charector, then I'm stuck in the dungeon forever and the game never starts.

 

I can only assume that this is because the messed up little charector in the oposite cell from me does not know what to do with a Mystic Elf nor Dramora.

 

The mod has been out for a while now so I was hoping that someone here may know a fix for this.

This is a common problem with non standard races. There is a fix included in the Unofficial Oblivion Patch http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5296

 

or in Custom Race Fix http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1815

 

either one works, but the unofficial fixes some other stuff as well.

Cool. Thank you. Just to be sure, I do have the Shimmering Isles expansion. Will this work on it or do I need some sort of unofficial shimmering Isles update?

You don't need it for this, but there is an Unofficial Shivering Isles patch too.

Most of what the unofficial patches fix is things like floating rocks, gaps in the scenery or collision boxes that make it hard to pass a certain point. Things that you might not even notice. But there are some that make it easier to play, like the fix for whipping roots in caves
