AndersRaid
There's a major flaw in the new Skyrim Armours, they removed the ability to create new styles and outfits like in Oblivion. Remember when you could wear a Shirt and a pair of Iron Leggings? That was pretty cool if you wished for a nice, but still armoured look. Now they released Skyrim, and made 'Armours' as in a complete set except the gloves, boots and helmets. I don't know about you guys, but I enjoyed having separate kinds of armour. So if anybody could split the models apart and create a new armour slot, that would be great. And to decrease the overpower, you should divide the current armour with 2, which means the leggings and top is the original armour's armour-level. Now I know this isn't an easy task, but hell, life ain't easy. I have absolutely no experience at all in scripting, nor using the Creation Kit, that's why I'm asking you guys out there, to complete this modification. I would gladly share any ideas with you guys, and if you have any further doubts or questions, add my steam: 'Anders Raid' - Anders RaidSR3: Saint's Row: The Third Forum Profile
Sunnie
This was changed in Fallout. The reason they make armor include the legs now is because the problems that occur between different armor sets mixing and not matching. Making sure that a Daedric breastplate doesn't clip with or leave invisible gaps with steel armor legs or leather legs or tattered pants is a monumental undertaking in and of itself. It just isn't cost effective to develop every piece of armor and clothing to be completely compatible with every other armor combination in the game. Anyone that does this now will have the same problem, anything they do will have an issue when combined with something from another set.
flobalob
Although I understand this from a developers point of view I can's help but miss the ability to simultaneously equip Cuirass/Greaves/Boots\Left Pauldron/Right Pauldron/Left Gauntlet/Right Gaundlet/Helmet Shield/Trousers/Skirt/Belt/Cloak/2 Rings & a Necklace that I used to to in TES3 (all enchanted, even if they were minor enchantments)
SkjoldBjorn
I think i heard something working on a project like that and that will take time as they have to change the armors completely, like adding upper parts of the legs so they can be used with other sets and this would require them to modify excisting 3d models and would also raise the need for new UV maps and textures , that is a lot of work considering all the different armors you can wear in skyrim, if someone can pull it off..well kudos to them, but i doubt that will happen anytime soon. I know for a fact that people are making their custom armors in legs/chest pieces by using unused body part numbers/partitions (we have a lot we can play with here), the downer with skyrim is that you need to morph every model to fit slim and muscular characters, this was something that did not excist in oblivion/fallout/fnv so making armor models for skyrim is a little more work, just a little difference in verts and you got verticies blowing up ingame and you need to do it all over again. Goes faster when you get the hang of it, but it increases the workload drasticly.
