bben46 Posted May 30, 2008 Share Posted May 30, 2008 1. Yes 2. Similar but slightly different. As to the installation, I doubt if you would even notice the difference. Now for the hook. Vista users may have to disable a security function known as UAC. If you have downloaded and installed, and the mod is appearing in your Data Files List, but not in your game check to see if UAC is turned on. If so. Look here for instructions on how to turn it off. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vis...-windows-vista/ After you have gotten past the UAC problem, Installing and using mods should be the same on Vista as XP. Palpenious Posted June 5, 2008 Share Posted June 5, 2008 I am using vista and haven't had any trouble after disabling the annoying UAC, but I believe you do have to be running as an administrator on the system. This only really applies if anyone else is using the computer, but if you are not logged on as administrator, the a lot of things will give you stupid messages like, "you must have permission to perform this action". Also, if Oblivion is installed anywhere other than the default c: drive, you can pretty much bypass these annoyances altogether. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
