Legendary edition capped at 2GB RAM

Hello guys,

As far as I know, Bethesda patched Skyrim to have 4GB (3.1GB MAX) but even having legendary edition and the last version I'm still capped at 2GB.

For some reason, I can't add a picture in the post so I'll leave the link to the image so you can see my 2GB capped skyrim using Skyrim performance monitor. My main reason why I started doing these tests is because I'm using a mod called JK cities I had some crashes and I was using between 1.5 and 1.7GB, the reason of my crashes.

Now, why do I have a 2GB cap? I have win 7 64-bits, I have 8GB ram, etc. Tried executing everything as admin, nothing changed. Tried the NTCore file to modify the TESV.exe and SKSEloader.exe but nothing changed. Should I patch mod organizer? I don't know what to do, I want to have 3.1GB limit as everyone else, please help!

try the 4gb patch --> http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php <--

the patch above will enable the Large Address Aware flag, that will allow 32bit programs to use 4gb of your memory,(that includes skyrim and pretty much all dx9 based programs/games) this is what bethesda should of done a long time ago (and apparently did do, its the fix you are refeering to)

also 1.5 gb memory usage is very low, i don't know what magic you done to get it this low. my system with only steam and opera loaded (1 page open) uses around 2.7 - 3.0 gb, and thats with many services disabled. and only few programs loaded, that are pretty lightweight in resources.

i would recommend clicking on start - type Resmon - click enter, and see what your total resource usage is, in case the program your are currently using is reporting incorrectly

i would also recommend getting an resource monitoring overlay for games, so you can check your resource usage in game, for this i recommend Msi Afterburner. more specifically Rivatuner(part of Msi Afterburner)

i have used the patch above a very long time ago on skyrim, before bethesda patched it, and that patch above does indeed work. whether it will work now though is debatable, unless bethesda flopped on the fix, which is possible xD

or alternatively go to skyrim special edition, which is a 64bit program, thus has no resource limits (basically meaning you can use your entire memory resources and vram)
