McCarran terminal weird transparent bug

Hello!

I decided to pick up New Vegas after a long time and modded it with project nevada etc. But i noticed this weird glitch when i am inside the terminal.

I read elsewhere that enb could cause stuff like this but i don't have an enb installed. I do have some retexture mods enabled could they cause this?

Anyway would love to know if anybody else has had his kind of stuff happening in their game

Without ENB, the most likely guess would be "too many plugins". Please see the 'Vanilla "Load Order"', 'Towards Game Stability', 'Third Rule: The Rule of One', 'Smaller Plugin Cap', and 'Merge Patch file' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article, at a minimum.

Move any "inactive" plugins out of the game "Data" folder. They count against the "plugin cap" because they get loaded by the game engine if found, and can cause "Missing Master" problems as well as issues such as you are seeing. If you can't get down to roughly 130 by moving inactives out, try to prioritize and uninstall (on a temporary "test" basis) the less important plugins until you do so. If that does resolve your problems, then see the wiki "Merged Plugin Guidelines for Personal Use" article on how to merge plugins (which is not the same as a "merge patch" file) to get your active count down while still keeping the mods.

We REALLY need to see your sorted "load order" as produced by LOOT; to include the main game and DLC files. With modded games, its the sequence, not merely the list of mods, which is the cause of many problems. LOOT's sort gives a good first approximation, correcting the most obvious issues and is sufficient for most players. Instructions are in the "How to ask for help" article, and "Checklist Item #11' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

Download LOOT (it's linked in the "How to ask for help" article) and install it manually to the game root folder (i.e. "<install path>\Fallout New Vegas"). Read the documentation, but copy your LO into a list suitable for posting on forums. (The command to copy this list to your clipboard is under the ":" with three dots to the extreme right in it's menu bar.) Then just click on the "green bar" icon (SpecialBBcode) in the top row of the "Reply to this topic" page, select "spoiler tag", and paste the list from your clipboard in between the "spoiler" tags in the body of the post. Most "mod managers" have a similar "LO List" capability, but you will have to read their tutorials to work that out for yourself.

Don't install compatibility patches for mods you do not have installed/active (e.g. get rid of any "TTW" patches if you aren't running TTW).

Don't install every optional file for a mod. Read the install instructions carefully. Optional files need to be selected on a "case by case" basis. For example: with any mod you usually only need one ESP (and possibly one ESM) "base" file depending upon whether you have all the DLCs active or not. Only if you don't have them all active do you need to install any specific DLC versions if there is an "Ultimate Edition/All/Merged DLC" version.

That's a start. You don't have too many plugins, but you do have a number of "inactive" ones you need to move out of "Data". See the other articles and information in my original response.

Additional suggestions:

Do not use an "Auto-purge" mod for game play. (That was old advice from before we knew better.) They are designed for debugging by mod creator's only, according to the author of the JIP NVSE extensions to NVSE. See the 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu', "Cause-2", "Solution-3" entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide for the game settings that do the same job.

Did you install Steam to it's default location? If so, please see the wiki "Installing Games on Windows Vista+" article for why the original default Steam behavior of installing games to the "C:\Program Files" folder tree was bad (they learned better, and don't do that any more); and why "disabling UAC and running as Administrator" is NOT sufficient, with instructions how to move it. This is the single most important thing you can do to fix and protect yourself against problems in the future. As much of a PITA as that is, it's never going to be any easier than now.

With that list of mods, you need a "merge patch" file. Please see the 'Vanilla "Load Order"', 'Towards Game Stability', 'Third Rule: The Rule of One', 'Smaller Plugin Cap', and 'Merge Patch file' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article at a minimum. If it's been awhile you might want to read the entire article to refresh your memory about the game's quirks.

I realize that may seem like a bunch of reading, but there are a lot of things you have to get correct for a solid, stable game. One problem is likely to be masking more, so every step you take to resolve one may reveal another until suddenly everything "just works".

Thank you again!

I deleted the Auto-purge now like you suggested. I checked and my steam is in default location

I will now read the articles and try to see if that helps. I can't thank you enough for this
